So I think it is time to start talking about this. I believe that in about 10 years we won’t have Web conferences; despite desire to have human interaction. Currently we have Web events that allow users to attend in person, or follow via real-time blogs and or streaming-video. I find this humorous; a conglomeration of people talking about how social-networking is the future….running events about how it is the future….running events that have a definite life-span.
So what will happen in 10 years? Virtual events only? No cost of entry? Will people ’sneak’ into an event through a syndication site? Will we blog ourselves out of an industry of events?
